At Banco you can find the classic Italian breakfast with coffee, croissant and cappuccino, but you can also do it the Wall Street way with crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, avocado and orange juice. Don’t worry, we also have traditional Lecce pasticciotti: they’re our default choice.
At Banco we have set up an in-house bakery to ensure that every morning at market opening, you are greeted fragrant, oven-fresh, traditional Salento products. The aroma is a treat for the senses. And then eating them is like being paid an unexpected dividend: quite wonderful.
When you stop over for lunch or to have a quick snack, you have all of the classic dishes from the Puglian tradition, some of them seen in a new light: panzerotti, rustici from Lecce, aubergine parmigiana and fritti salentini. We’ll always have a supply to meet your demand, whether micro or macro.
We also make pizza here in house. We don’t use pre-cooked dough, or any frozen products. Our pizza maker invests all of his time and resources for optimal performance: the yeast is allowed to rise for 48 hours to make it fluffy and flavoursome, and he selects the freshest seasonal condiments. You can find a steaming pizza even at lunchtime, and good returns are guaranteed.
